PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - A Pass Christian High School student is dead after a train struck her car. Early this morning, 17-year-old Dariane Cameron was killed when a train struck her car. It happened on St. Paul Avenue at the railroad tracks in Pass Christian.

Harrison County coroner Gary Hargrove says Cameron was attempting to cross the tracks in her S-U-V when her vehicle was struck by the train.

Hargrove also says Cameron may not have heard the train.

There is a crossmark and a stop sign at the railroad crossing, but there are no cross arms, bells or whistles.
